'97 C280 randomly stalling at idle rpm - Fixed!

Hello all in the W202 world.

I come begging for some direction so to speak haha. I have a '97 C280 that recently within the week started stalling. This is my mothers car so beginning details of issue is just CEL on, code P0410, she was in a parking lot waiting on someone and it stalled while idling after about 20 mins. From there is has ran fine until yesterday which was friday, it wouldn't start after I drove it to Autozone as I picked up some vacuum line and a/c recharge can. Took about 10 mins. of random trying to start and finally it hit and started. Brings us to today which is Sat.and it ran fine after I cleared CEL and found vacuum line to EGR was broke and off, figured that could have caused P0410 maybe. Now after about even 20 minutes of driving it stalls as soon as you slow down into idle RPM's.

Not overheating that I know of however it does seem that the A/C condensation is dripping over tranny and exhaust as with it running I do see steam/smoke from underneath. Not sure if there is correlation there or not.

Anyone that might have a direction to go in would be great help, no new ECL's on either. I've got a few idea's such as crankshaft sensor but without any CEL codes I don't want to start tossing money at it.

Thanks all for reading and any help.

Sorry to bring this back up but I can't find the resistance value for the crankshaft sensor. I think that is the culprit to my stalling and no starting until it cools down a bit.

I removed the crankshaft sensor which wasn't a fun task due to no room where it's located but anyway, checked the resistance across it's two pins and got 1.086kohm. Somewhere I thought I read it should be 900ohm but now I can't find that info.

Appreciate any lead in this direction.

Edit: So far it seems it was the notorious CPS, checked the resistance of the new one and it was 722 ohms. I tested my current sensor in an oven to verify what temp it became an open and it was right at 215*f.
