tranny's that shift HARD when cold
Compared to my usual 30 second warm up (let it stop fast idling), I take it slow but still jerks a little bit from 1-2. With the A/C on, it's even a harder jerk, but both are solved when I do let it sit for 2 minutes after starting
if your read your owner's manual it will tell you that you should not bring the engine to operating temperature while adling, but start the car, and drive it gently till it warms up... hard 1-2 shifts are normal from a cold start, especially for a car with this mileage... if you think it's too rough I suggest a fluid and filter change for the AT...
I know some members here with much less mileage having the same problem.
If I let it sit for 2 min, it hardly brings it to operating temp. It nudges the temp needle just a tad up for me.
it's gotten better after the tranny fluid change tho. but guess it's kinda normal. even older (96 and below) honda auto tranny's jerk. must be the emissions thing at that time....
