Quote: Another great safety features that's in the manual but people usually don't know is that the headrests can be pulled/pushed forward or backward.... headrest should always be less than 10 cm away from your hed to prevent any whiplash injuries from rear collision....

I'm also surprised nobody mentioned dyno mode...
Bump.

- Does the headrest movement work in the 05 230 SS?

- What dyno mode?

What is Dyno mode? While your right it has NOTHING to do with normal driving, when I decided to get my car Dyno'd it would be pretty handy.

Thanks

The empty button trunk feature works.. But first you have to dip your key in toilet water for aprox. 15 seconds..

THe trunk button works and you don't need to dip it into the NaCl (aq). The button is there on the ciruit board, if you know how to remove the batteries, than you can check this, after you remove the batteries, simply slip the circuit board out and lookfor yourself. There are 4 buttons on the board that correspond to lock, unlock, trunk open and panic, although panic does not work without the alarm. Well at least panic does not work for me and I don't have an alarm.

Quote: That's because the 01 and 02s came with a button marked REST. In 03, they replaced the button and removed the corresponding section from the owners manual

I have a 03 with REST

oh oh oh, my favorite is the pen holder and sunglass holder in the glovebox. Sunglass holder has been deleted in 05.

another one of my peeves with MB. my 1997 C280 Sport had digital climate control with the REST feature. my 05 C230WZ has analog (dual zone although) CC with no rest...

but, here in so. cal., REST isn't a big deal anyways...
