Ipod/mp3player vs. mp3 CD Changer?
I'm leaning more toward mp3 CD changer (if the rumor is true that the new M glovebox version works with my '05 stock headunit) solely because I want to be able to keep my steering wheel control functionality. Price seems like it will run twice as much for the changer.
I don't listen to music much if at all outside of the vehicle, and thus a ipod/mp3player wouldn't be much good, especially when weighing losing steering controls.
Any update on the release of ipod kits yet? Their estimate price is still ~300.00 before install labor correct?

If only for the fidelity of your Ipod, I'd go with the MP3 cd changer. It allows for about 5.5 gigs of music (assuming a 6-cd changer, of course), and you don't have to worry about the biggest problem with hard-drive based players: motion. You're guaranteed to shorten the working life of your Ipod if you run it in the shock-laden enviorns of a typical car on a typical road. Plus, you can load the changer with typical CDs that others will lend you, adding to its utility.
