My co-worker just bought a 2005 C230 SS in Diamond Black , auto with every option(sunroof,Navi,6CD) except Bi-Xenon, entertainment package, memory seat. $32,450 OTD. so I will said your deal is NOT cheap, but ok. Just enjoy your car.You may not get the best deal in town, but the most important thing is you like the car !

BLACK 05 C230SS
33K is actually good if you bought it brand new at the dealer. I would have bought it if I had all those options on it.

I got my 05 from Rusnak

Alabaster white
Xenon
Entertainment Pkg
Sunroof
auto

OTD for 31. So i think you got a fair price. Some people on the board claim they can get a 05 c320 for 25k though

Considering the '06 is already released, I'd say that's a pretty fair deal. After I discovered these forums, I realized I didn't get as good a deal as I probably would've gotten, but mine was 36 out the door (list was 39), so I thought it was a great deal for a "special order" car.

In SoCal, the way I calculate OTD price is:

Price of car (i.e. 30,000) x 1.10 (the .10 = 10% of the car price) = about $33000....is this about correct for Socal approx calculation?

So $31,000 OTD = about $3000 for tax, license, etc..+ car for about $28000?
$33,000 OTD = $3000 (tax and fees) + car for about $30,000?

How's my math??

Yup, math looks good to me, Back2Benz. Same way I calculate OTD price.

Fletcher Jones is huge...didn't discuss price, but they are one of the most persistent dealers I've ever met...but too far from me

never mind lol i went there today basically for a 2005 C230 with xenon and sunroof they gave me sticker price of 35k without tax. That is the same price as the 2006 but he said there is wayy more room to bargain with the 2005. But i didn't know what kind of number i should put out there cuz i've read so many different purchase prices on this forum so i told him i'll come back.

Just to give you a lil' perspective, I got my 2004.5 special ordered and closed the deal a few months before the 2005 model was released.

The car came in March. I ordered it with Sunroof, Lighting, and Comfort package w/ Bose and Illuminated door sills. Total on the list price before taxes and fees was 36 plus. I got it for 36 out the door (including tax/fees). People have told me I got an okay deal, but could've gotten better.

Regardless, because the 2006 model is out already, you definitely do have more bargaining power. It just depends how much the dealership is willing to meet you at your "ideal"/realistic price. I say go for as low as you can (even lower than you would expect) and you'd be surprised where the end result comes to.

This is what i did.

I went to buy my car on march 31 2005 at 10pm. Yes 10PM. I knew the car salesman had this last day to make any deal happen. A lot of them need 1 more sale to hit their bonus. I went around looking for the right salesman before i found the car i wanted. I found a guy name steven at Rusnak Arcadia. He was the Seller of the months many times. I knew i found my man.

I knew this guy was more into selling x numbers of car rather than making x numbers in commision. I dealt with him and won. I didnt leave the floor that night until 12:30 am. His wife was calling and he was hungry. I didnt budge on my price but he needed my sale. Try doing this if you have the time. You will get a very good price.

Although this is how i got my deal,im interested in those members that got their C320's for 25k OTD

GOOD LUCK. These C classes are awesome Cars !!

they said they were having a blow-out this weekend ...and see if I wanted to drop by again...from what people are saying (and what a few dealers told me), you can get $4000 off from pretty much any dealer in SoCal...can u get more discount? Very possible...but I haven't tried...

Los Angeles area MB dealers want $2g's below MSRP (I told them that's what the 06's are going for...whatever ) also told me there were no discounts/incentives...ahhh...I did all my homework and ....wasted soo much of my f@#Kin time

someone hook up a brotha...tell the dealer that you got it from you will be hooking up someone from this forum...just give me the same deal...(I'll personally paypal you some $$ for your time )...pm me if you are interested!

'05s you can get for 3% less INVOICE less mfg rebate ($2,500 for c230s, $3,500 for c320s). I just got my brand new '05 C320 $42,760 car for $35,146!

Be careful guys that are out shopping now. You should pay no more than 3% less invoice less rebate, if not less!

Some dealers are out there to rip you off, regardless of what you tell them about what others are paying for the 05's ...I did that calculation and the dealer was like, "now where did you get that # from???? there are no discounts/incentives now..plus they are selling well cuz of it getting the good gas mileage.."...

Those of you who are planning on getting an 05....DON'T go to RUSNAK (Arcadia) or HOUSE OF IMPORTS (Buena Park) because they will only go $2-3k BELOW MSRP---I'm gonna help them spread the word because I'm sure they don't want you to waste your time or waste "theirs"
