so why do people want it so much? u already have radio and cd changer in glove compartment ...
O2Impressor, I did not get the Audio 10 because I wanted an in-dash CD I got it because it sounds way better, balanced sound, mucho more bass. If you listen mostly to talk radio then it's not that big a deal.

first off, do you have to remove the cover for the ash tray? how does this come off?
secondly, i unlocked the two clips in the "gap" on top of the ash tray (silver ones on each side, hinged in the front). when i decided i had to make a run to the hardware store, i tried to lock these back into position (so the trim isn't loose) but i couldn't figure out how these locked back into place. any ideas? i assume i need to lock these back into place when the install is done anyway, so my question isn't due to the fact that i haven't finished.
overall this seems pretty easy, especially since i've never forayed into car stereo installation before.

will there be any wiring issues i run into? the instructions i have are very vague when it comes to actually wiring the new HU in.
ps - i'll definitely post pics when it's all done. i'm trying to document every step!
As for wiring, get a soldering iron, wire stripper, heat sinks, solder, flux and put those things far away from the car. Then unplug every plug on the back of the old radio and plug them in them same spots on the new radio and press the on button to hear the fruits of your labor! Then screw the radio in position while balancing the storage box in place. Put the panel in place and show all your friends.
The clips just snap in place, make sure the panel is aligned properly and push the clips up into position. You do need a normal torx screwdriver and not one of those 10 in 1 torx gizmos.

more trials and tribulations tomorrow (it's too dark to try anything now)
