Time to choose coil-overs for christmas...who to go with?!?!?

Hey guys, well today I decided Im going to get coils for the benz for christmas and I had h&r's on my gti and it was nice....buuuuut way too firm I think. So Bilstein PSS9's guys? Throw some more ideas up as I want coils that will adjust and help with camber etc. for the overall ride comfort yet be able to SLIZAM! the car down nicely. TIA
Regards,
Geoff

I recommend (strongly) Tein super streets!

fully adjustable height, and stiffness... i have mine set at a fairly soft setting, so my ride is practically the same as stock, yet i sit about 1.5 inches lower. Also i believe they are doing R&D on the electronic gizzmo that will allow you to set stiffness from inside the vehicle.

You mean the EDFC, right Justin? Last time I talked to Sergio, R&D was on hold for the EDFC, the front upper mounts shouldn't be a problem to develop, but I think the rear is where the issue is at this point (all speculation). I did provide him with some information that may help TEIN down the line, but we'll have to see.

Because of SEMA, I haven't really talked to them about it yet, but that's something I definitely want for my car.

As for which coilovers to go with, I'm pretty sure you can get a good deal on the Bilstein PSS-9 setup that will be comparable to the TEIN Super Streets. If you want the smaller increments of dampening adjustability go with TEIN. If you don't need that much adjustability, go with Bilstein. No matter what, always consider what the price difference will be (wherever you buy from) and what would be advantageous to your needs.

basics are $890 and the Superstreets are $1400.

http://www.tein.com/mb.html

the coupes link on that website is down (pic of my car) it should be up soon, as they were trying to get it up on line as of yesturday. BUT the sedans links all work (drex's car) for the most part the technical information is about the same.

yeah, the EDFC... I am first on the list for that mod when it is finally here. I had that on my RX7... loved it! plus one must admit, scores pretty high on the AWE list.

Justin, you'll be the first coupe and I'll be the first sedan ...LOL...I've been talkin' to them about the EDFC from before I did R&D and they only did R&D with Nefarious' car (240/320 R&D).

thx for the link I have used that and the other stickied threads up top many times before, just I was wanting to know what others would recommend and choose if they had such an option as myself. I just wanted others opinions since I have such a broad range of coils to choose from and that I have only delt with H&R in the past. sorry
