The chromed ABS plastic piece is detachable from the steel hood. Bring it to a shop and have them sand, primer, then paint it the body color, then clear coat it a couple times.

Is there anyway to remove the chrome piece from the grey plastic piece without braking it? Im just afraid to remove and just thought this way it wouldnt get painted, thanks again.

Thanks Doug. I was trying to, but was afraid I would break it. The piece costs 45.00 at dealer. I just thought someone might had done it.

I only removed the bottom one, the one that's affixed to the grill. The top one looks like it's mounted the same. Just use a small flat blade screwdriver and wedge between the tabs, then lift up gently and pull out the same time. I broke a couple tabs when I tried manhandling it with my bare hands. If you do it gently with a small screwdriver, they shouldn't break. The chromed ABS plastic is brittle, so you really should only wedge something between the tab and try not to elevate.

It looks very weird and not as easy as in the pic. I might just end up ordering an extra one from Mercedes. If anyone has done this, I would really appreciate your help.
