Hi there

My uncle sold his w203 C class in Taiwan a while back....he took out his H&R cupkit and shipped it to Aus...i've just got it recently...he doesn't know much about cars, so coudln't hlep me

i've attached some pictures...i wonder if these shocks were damaged due to poor installation ?? some weird dents on the struct...is this normal ?

any info / help is greatly appreciated

the cup kit on my jetta had similar 'dents' in them but I believe that they were there for some sort of clearance. But im not sure but I did see that on my cup kit as well at one point

I just installed my kit and those dents are standard on all the kits.

looks like your uncle got the wrong offset for his wheels... might have rubbed a little on the shocks. other than that, it's fine. shocks are built to last.

those dents are standard for clearance. the wheels might have rubbed against the strut due to the offset and caused some scuffs. shock performance should not be affected since it is just cosmetic damage. time to lower the car.
