You know those LEDs that some of us recently got from the ebay user that claimed they were error free? Did anyone try those LEDs WITH resistors in the C-Class? Anyways, I'd like to get these LEDs working w/ resistors because the CCFL, I think, is too much to bother with, but which is best for the license bulbs...i have 25 ohm 25 watt or 6ohm 50 watt, if not those what other ohm?
I have the trunk lid liner all off ready to do this whenever its half decent outside this week. I'm going to guess one resistor for each housing...

I've downloaded the Relay and Fuse PDF's from one of the other threads and I still can't find the fuse for the license plate light. My left bulb went out. I know this has happened to a lot of you folks. Where did you find the fuse? trunk? driver side? engine? there's so many places and so many fuses. Not sure where it's at. Please help. Thanks!

Yes, the 15 page license plate thread is back. lol
Killed two birds with one stone.
Got my license plate lights working (no errors or flickering) and the entire bottom portion of my tail lights now light up. I didnt want to use resistors since they get too hot and I didn't want to risk burning something. This is where I got creative.
I needed something that runs cool and doesn't draw too much power. So I bought more LEDs. 1156 taillight bulbs to be exact.
I then spliced into the license plate wires, hooked them up to a socket and placed the new led bulb in the rear fog light socket.
Together the taillight bulb + the license plate bulb draw enough power that no error is thrown.
*oh and I also bought a set of 194 LED's for the city lights, they match the HIDs perfectly and 0 errors, thanks Mike.

nick that is amazing.
DIY requested please.
question, when u put in the license plate led's before this mod
did u get the same results i did? they would flicker a little, and then not light up?

Its pretty easy, if you have the S-class tails. All you need to do is access the wires in the trunk. (You'll need to remove the lining on the trunk lid)
Each side has two wires, a brown (ground) and a purple with stripe (power).
Tap into those, and attach the other end to a socket. I used an old socket from my broken lights. Then just run the wires to the taillights.

I only had the drivers side bulb flicker. I flipped it 180 deg like the site said and also swapped the left and right bulb, to make sure I didn't have a bad bulb.
