Anyone who has suspension noise problem, pls read!

I just brought back my C230 from the dealer regarding the suspension noise and rattle noise in the sunroof. The dealer has to order sway bar bushing w/ part no. 203.323 20 85, 203 323 22 85, 203 323 11 40 and 203 232 12 40 from Germany. They said these parts are the "updated" parts. They also fixed the sunroof problem by putting some silicon grease in all the moving parts. The dealer seems that they already acknowledge the problems and know how to fix them. I am really disappointed cuz they have many hidden service bulletin information in which they don't want us to know publicly. They only fix these problems unless you bring in the car. The service advisor also told me that MB has an updated combination switch (left, right turn signal) for the C coupe. I really want to know how many hidden information they have on hand.

i'm still up for starting a website that catalogs all of the TSBs. anyone else?

I think this site should sponsor a section (or at least a board) dedicated to maintaining records of all TSBs and recalls, and perhaps a current list of "unsolved mysteries", like the C230K freeway stalling problem.

Being in a moderated board format allows each thread to maintain info specific to a category, like C-Class TSBs, C-Class Recalls, E-Class TSBs, etc. As a moderated board it would stock only info. provided by moderators, to keep the threads small and concise. That would probably be the best way. Of course, that presents more work for the mods... ;)

All Data LLC

All Data already does that. you can find listings of TSB and recalls for pretty much any make and model car. the catch is to get full access you have to pay theor membership fee, otherwise you wont know what the TSB is about.

Ok....am I missing something here? AllData has no records for 2002 Mercedes Benz C 230 K coupes.

the problem is that i don't have the TSB info. if anyone has access to these, i'd love to work to set up a server and a website to publish them in a searchable form.

So what do I have to complain about in order to get the new turn signal switch? Mine just never "felt" right...

Take it in and mention that there is an updated part for the switch and you would like them to do a TSB search on it.

what does this "updated" switch do differently? i hate how MB combined like 10 controls on one switch but other than that mine works ok.

You can find TSB and recall information on the http://www.nhtsa.com/ website. It will give a description of the problem under the TSB number. The only thing they don't tell you is how to fix it and what parts are needed to fix it. That you have to pay for. Their DB is very comprehensive.

I was under the impression that all automakers are required by law to disclose tsb and recall info. Is that incorrect?
