Weird Belt Noise? - After Cold Starts
My 95,000K 2002 Mercedes Benz C240 has treated me well over the years, the expenses have racked up to well over $5000 but I like the car its awesome. Anyway for some odd reason this weird noise can be heard everytime when starting the car. After the car warms up the noise goes away, sometimes it doesn't though but its quieter. The noise is particularly prevalent after starting the car from a cold start, not sure if its the main belt the serpentine belt and etc.. It was changed before in 2010, not sure if thats whats causing the problem or if its something else. Here is a video of the weird noise:
The noise is in rhythm with the engine so my guess is that its the belt. Or maybe some type of pulley or something causing the issue anyway its weird.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Remove the belt & check all accessories. It is probably a tensioner or idler pulley.

This morning I also noticed a noise similar to yours when first starting the car. I opened the hood and sprayed some water on the belt, the noise went away for a few seconds. I figured it it is a pulley it would continue to make the sound. My car has 86k on it.
