For those who got xenons from factory and those who added them do you really ever need your fog lights?

i will sometimes use my fog lights with just my parking lights on when it starts to get dark. then if its very dark i will use the fogs with the Xenons. That on my CLK430 with the factory xenons. My c230 only has bulbs but i still use them with it sometimes.

Only in the foggy conditions - have used them maybe 3 times since January. Hate it when people use them in clear weather. Makes me want to have mine aimed waaay up and retaliate by turning them on.

why the hell do people hate it when people use fogs in normal weather? it only makes it easyer for the driver to see (more light). i also think they look good on. Now that i hear so many people hate them on i am going to put them on everytime my lights go on to **** other people off.

Some people aim them higher to illuminate the road further ahead of the vehicle, which makes it even worse for others.
Plus, usually this gets accompanied by an ultra-bright tail fog light which is annoying as hell. IMO, such drivers are obnoxiuos - inconsiderate at the very least, so if you want to be one of them, go ahead.

I have xenons and I use fog lights when? In fog!!!! In find that they are useful in illuminating the immediate space in front of my car when there is dense heavy fog. Also the rear fog light gives drivers in back of me a warning that I'm in front. Under other conditions the fog lights are of no use.

by the way i never found other peoples fogs to be blinding to me at all. and using fogs with headlights only illuminates the road right in front of u and tward the sides a little more.
i dont think that anyones fogs ever anoyed me or blinded me if they are stock fog lights. if u talk about other people tiny anfter market fogs that a different story that i happen not to like much.
i actually dont know why i said it but i dont think fogs actually look cool, i mean whats so special about small lights lower to the ground? and also to me they can be usefull when its just getting dark out because if u put your headlights on they sometimes can not be seen to well untill its completly dark out and when the fogs are on they can give u some light.

I only use the fogs on my IS300s around town, i love the contrast of blue and yellow fogs, however night driving the fogs make no beneficial contribution to the light since the xenons are so powerful. Our ML on the other hand has halogen lights and I ALWAYS use the hella 500 fog lights mounted on the brush guards. We get them aimed once a year and they add tons of light off to the sides which helps u see animals and such hiding on the side of the road waiting to bolt out in front of you.

For myself, I do use the foglamps at night, even with the Bi-Xenons. They are aimed pretty low, so there is no way that they blind oncoming drivers, but rather throw off more light to the sides for corners, as well as foreground illumination.
I have to diagree with the person that says that the width blinds oncoming drivers. Since the Xenons are far brighter, the oncoming drivers' pupils will contract as is already, therefore it's pretty much indifferent.
An interesting thing to note though, is that the C-class's foglamps utilise the same bulbs as most Hondas use for their main headlamps! :p

I use just the fronts and use them sometimes at night. They don't do much in good weather, just for looks.
They are not triggered with the auto headlight feature, so you must turn them on manually.
