New 03 C230K Owner....HELP!
Okay so I just bought an 03 C230 Kompressor and it says Service A due now. I did a search on here and found out that it is an oil change and some preventive maintence type stuff. Where I am right now there is no MB dealer near me and I have a long road trip home and to the next dealer.
Can I get a local shop to do just the oil change for me? Any special oil or filter needed?

nothing is gonna happen if you go another 1000+ miles. its just recommended to do it now but not some kind of deadline.
they do a check-up and make sure everything runs smooth and while they're at it change oil, wiper blades i think and thats about it.

just go to a local shop and have them change the oil and filter for you. you can find the filter at most auto parts stores.
and you can reset the service by turning the key to ignition position (don't start the car), turn to service page in MFD, and press & hold the reset button. The display will prompt you to press the reset again to confirm reseting the service interval.
