Service A
Did some grocery shopping this afternoon and I noticed about 5 dime size drops of oil on my garage floor. I backed the car up from it's normal spot and found some more fresh drops. I slid under the front best I could without my floor jack and noticed some oil build-up on the back end of the plastic cover that goes under the engine.
Is this normal? I understand having a little drippity drop after an oil change but come on? Do I go back to get another sweet a$$ 02 C240 for a loaner or do I wait for a little more dust to settle?
If you bought the car there, they'll give you a new C, ML, SLK, whatevers around... even give out their demo cars for u... what bs

the trick is to come after their rental agency (in my case Enterprise) has gone for the day. drop it off in the evening (6-7ish here) and they won't be able to give you anything but a new C.
I headed down there at almost 5 (crossing South OC from the foothills to the beach at 5 is almost as fun as giving yourself a root canal with a spork, needlenose pliers and some wild turkey for numbing). The SA came out and went over everything. He said that the oil filter is toward the top and that it is extremely unusual that it's leaking from the dead center. He then pointed me towards the loaner area and I was off for the crap shoot. What will they put me in now? A 190D? A tricycle? Oh yay it's a 06 mars red 230 that smells like a truck stop toilet with a broken flush handle and 9k miles on it (which told me today I was 10 miles over Service A HAHAHA). The guy jumped in a said "ok well it's got 1/4 tank so it needs to come back with that". I stopped him before he could sneak away and I said "no it's got a 1/8 of a tank and that's coming from the guy who needs to go pump gas right now". He changed his mind and made the paperwork say 1/8.
We'll see what they say when I get the call today as to why it was leaking.
