This is what you get with 4.5 hours of detailing

i was bored today so i decided to wash my car. yea for the third time this week.

so i washed the car and thought to myself. well its been raining so much lately, i should wax the car. not once but twice. i ran out of zaino wax so i used maguire's nxt wax. then after rinsing the car after waxing, i thought to myself again, that i need to detail my interior. which i usually do every month and i was about 3 weeks overdued. i know ive been slacking. then after that i thought to myself again, i should detail my engine bay. but i was tired of so much work and 2hrs of sleep, so ill do it next weekend and do the same process again to my other baby.

i know what most of you are thinking. yea he has no life, he needs a hobby or needs a g/f. maybe its true but i love what i do :-p

here are some pics i took.

what you think??

^^^out of all the pics i took today. this one is my favorite one.

mod: euro bixenon, clear fog, led interior lights, greenfilter, h&r cup kit.

Pics are too small to tell if it looks any better than just driving through the $3.99 wash at the gas station

4.5 hours of cleaning... still doesnt beat the 8 hour cleaning i heard of on these forums

Is your car lowered with the sports package? I have never seen a 240 w/ those wheels. (typical older sports package wheels)

-j0hn

Nice story. I wash my car every week and clean out the interior too. A clean car is a happy car.

This from someone who actually admits to owning a 1988 Volvo?

You're right though. There are much nicer locations in So. Fla. In fact, if that's the Costco I think it is, there are nicer backdrops in that very parking lot.

Yo, thanks anyway for sharing. Mine is also black. They do look sharp, especially when freshly detailed.

edit: and oh ya, what does me having a volvo have to do with anything?

It has nothing to do with anything other than I saw an opportunity for a little jab. Didn't mean anything by it. Just having a little bit of fun.

can't see much of the detailling job since all the photos are too small, but kudos for the 4hr detailing.

I usually only spend around 2.5hr max in washing, vacuum, wipe, and waxing it twice. And I've heard compliment that I've the best conditioned 2002 people have seen. lol

Where would I acquire that Michelin brake dust repellant?

It usually takes me 4.5 hours just to wash and wax once. You're very efficient if you can wax it twice in the same amount of time.

FrankW, if you can do all of that in 2.5 hours, I am very impressed.

Very nice car. Yes, there's too much sunlight that we can't see the details of the car. But I'll take your word for it that it's very clean.

Wowwwww.... wanna come do that to my car? Seriously, you'd be horrified at the sight of my car. I barely wash it... there are bug splats all over the windshield, you can't tell if my wheels are naturally brown or silver, and there is no room in my car for any passengers because of trash and my stuff all over the inside. My trunk is pretty much a second closet too.

wow it only takes 5min to run your car through the wash and it costs nothing to clean out your car
