oppz forgot to post the most importem part
As part of the proposed settlement, In addition,.all owners would receive warranties extended from five years or 50,000 miles to 10 years or 150,000 miles. each of about 350,000 owners of the 1998 and 1999 models would receive a $35 coupon redeemable on any service. Jacobsen said the $35 represents the additional cost of synthetic oil for one oil change. Owners of the newer models won't get coupons, he said, because Mercedes-Benz in 2000 began offering free oil changes

Could you imagine how angry someone would be if they paid up to $2,000 extra for an extended warranty and MB ended covering that period anyway for free.

On second thought, my car has a big sticker on the hood's frame that says, "Use Synthetic Oil only Mobil 1" or something like that, this might not apply to me, I also seem to remember it says to use synthetic on the manual, so i'm well aware of which oil to use. I haven't done an oil change in my car yet, it has been almost 13,000 miles and it still says service in 1400 miles.

Very helpful for me
This lawsuit result can be a case law on my arbitration. I don't think the point in this case was strong enough to get extended warranty. However, the owner did it.
In my arbitration, I have more stronger arguments on asking MB Canada to exchange a car for me. Since January 02, while my first complaint was filed, my car has been visiting various dealers many times already, neither the problems couldn't be duplicated nor the problems couldn't be fixed. At the same time, more and more new problems come up while I was still suffering from those unsolved problems. If I file my complaint to the court (which I don't think I would), I believe I could win. What do you think?
