2003MY C-Coupe on Hold?

2003 C230 Coupe (6MT)
So I'm not the only one!
My dealer finely figured out how to use the computer and got the ball rolling. Car supposedly is now released from inspection at the port and ready to ship (carrier called), however as of this morning it hadn't been loaded on a truck yet. Looks like the promise last Thurs. of 'early next week' isn't going to happen. He's guessing Saturday now!
I'm so sick of the roller coaster ride that I'm half tempted to screw with the guy when he trys to deliver the car and say that I'm no longer interested and to send back my deposit! Oh well

Mine was ordered Aug 9th, but if I knew it would be late Sept before I would get it, I might've waited for late October to get the colour I wanted... Magma Red or Capri/Orion Blue, Brilliant Silver is just too common... as we can tell, we both have the same car!

That sucks, cause mine will take another 2-3 days to get shipped from Montreal to Ottawa, so I'll get mine late that week, 25-26, ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Whitecar2003, I see your C230 was assembled on 7/25. Mine was assembled on 6/25, it was delivered on 8/16. It was actually available on 8/15 for pickup, but I was travelling that day. Based on that, you should have your car within 5 days.
All C230's takes 3 months to deliver from point of ordering. 2002 took longer as it took 6 months to fill the pipeline (1 of my friends waited 3.5 and another waited 4). There is no way a car ordered on 8/9 could arrive in Sept unless they are pulling a car from another dealer. I ordered mine on 5/15 and it was built about 6 weeks later, June 25th. It arrived in LA on Aug 2 and my dealership told me to allow 20 days to ship to Portland, and detail for delivery. So 8/22 was my original date, however it was actually ready for me on 8/15.

This should answer your statement grn300m, it was not pulled from another dealer, it was already allocated to my dealer, just not sold yet.

Cool, you will love the car! Everyday I think up new ways to get to work just to have fun. Be sure to post some pics, even if it's stock like mine.

It made it! Picked up the car tonight.
Few weeks late, but I'm glad it's here! Can't wait for a chance to drive it now, stuck in the garage for the weekend as I have to travel to Dallas for business tomorrow.
