how much of a difference would there be without the resonator? i have the '07 C350 with the AMG exhaust tips and i'm thinkin of either cutting the resonator or buyin a sport/race exhaust

Removing the resonator should give you a slightly louder and deeper exhaust note.

I think im leaving my resonator in. The note is perfect. clean and crisp. I'm really surprised at how good it sounds.

My intial thoughts upon install were to go 2.5" from cat all the way to the muffler. Decided not to. Love the sound now. CHEERS!!

you have an 07...there is no resonator. you could remove your second cat...

my 06 had a resonator...i took it out and put in a straight pipe...the sound prolly amplified by like 20%, its deeper esp. when it hits 4k rpm..i jus want it a tad louder..i wanna hear that rumble/throatiness that this v6 has a bit more..i almost ordered a magnaflow exhaust..looked jus like c32 style tips..it was very cheap...and i passed it up lol..idioooot.

i thought all 05+ models dont have a resonator

i dont have pics..the exhaust shop kept the resonator..but by the looks of it..it was approx where the eisenmann straight pipe would go...maybe 05's dont have resonator, but im pretty sure it does..
