New C240 Owner Here

Hey, I just picked up a black 2001 C240 the other day, and I have a few questions about it. I apologize if it's already been posted, but what kind of bulb can I replace my normal driving lights with, and my high beams with? Is it a 9006? I did not receive a MB manual with the car and need to replace the bulbs asap. Also, I have a radio and underneath it, there is a pocket which looks like it can be removed to add an aftermarket CD/Indash DVD player to it. How hard is it to install an indash DVD player in a 2001 C240? Can I simply buy a new faceplate and harness and plug n play? What are the most popular ones, thanks, sorry for my lack of knowledge on MB's, just trying to get all the bugs worked out for now.

i assume for the second question that you want audio to be played through your head unit...

The single din DVD/screen combo can install easily under the head unit, however you will need to fashion yourself a mounting kit out of the mounting kit available.. I think there is a thread about a voltswagen mounting kit that mounts perfect in our c's...

After that you'll need a way to get into the DB2 optic loop assuming you have bose, the mb-aux adapter by blitzsafe works just dandy... That opens up an auxillary input under the "cd changer" title for the head unit... I personall ran a joyride with dvd/nav/mp3 into my aux for about 6 months, then it **** out and needed replaced... I had enough with it and just bought a single din factory audio 10 cd player that i still have problems with linking up with my audio interface.. I reset it a couple of times using the fuse method, its gettin better but its not fixed yet... As time goes on, it happends less and less though..

Good luck i hope i helped

Thank you for that info!
As for my car, I do not have the Bose system, and I have a 6 cd changer in the glovebox. I was thinking of buying the MBK100C? Kit and using that for a faceplate for the lower slot. All I really want is to just watch/play DVD's. Do you have any part #'s or a list of things I need? I just want to know what I need and buy it lol. Thank you!
