That's a big negative good buddy!

The fiber ring runs from head unit, to glove box for changer to trunk for phone stuff. I just ran across the phone plug in the trunk (in coupe: right rear - next to where sub goes inside the panel. There is a fiber connector and a DB25 plug). Other than those.. if you have bose, than the fiber also carries all signal to the amp which is in rear passenger wall in the coupe.

Don't know of other places - but there are probably a few more.

even though the D2B fibre chain runs throughout the car, you won't have to worry about it when you add new speakers and a sub so long as you change your head unit as well. you'll have to lay new cable, though and your fibre steering wheel controls won't work.

The hu does not have enough power to drive good speakers, you can use line level converters, and power everthing from a seperate amps, one for the speakers, one for the sub.

only on the Bose I think it is 2.2 ohm, the stock system is 4ohm, thats what they say on the back, they are in my garage, if I had it to do over again, I think I would keep the stock rear door speakers to see how it sounds, because whatever you replace it with will be muffeled by the seats.

Yeah you should be able to change all the speakers + subs + amps without any fuss, I've replaced all stocks speakers and add a pair of 10" subs with 2 amps and never had any problems so far

where'd you mount your subs? the trunk is kind of small for two boxes or a large box, innit?

Well…I bought a pre-made sub box that’ll fit 2 10” subs and they fit just fine at the back. The sub box is not fixed in one place this way I can remove the sub whenever I need some space at the back.
