They stopped bringing it here in the USA to make way for the B Class, and then in a managerial masterstroke didn't bring the B Class here, so there isn't a true entry level car anymore.
By the way, I have a 320 Coupe, but removed the emblem. It doesn't bother me that people probably think it's a 230.

Debadged 6-Speed '05 C320 Sports Coupe
The domestic absence of the C-Coupe is an artifact of ongoing evile plan being executed by MBUSA. After a detailed, thoughtful and thorough analysis, MBUSA has determined that the diminutive cranial capacity of domestic new vehicle consumers is easily overloaded by choosing among available options. Hence, the C-Coupe is offered to those with superior intellect, in the ROW market, but not domestically. This plan also applies to the embargo on selection from the full range of the many interior, exterior and trim designo colors, or the many other options available to the ROW market, that only exist in dreams for the US.
MBUSA has again demonstrated their altruistic nature by redirecting the market segment served by the C-Coupe to other fine vehicles and manufacturers.
In my case, my replacement vehicle is planned for December. If the C-Coupe were not prohibited from reaching our shores, then no selection is required, I would buy another, without hesitation. Instead I’m exploring the gamut of options, from all manufacturers. One option receiving serious consideration is to postpone this planned +100 K mile replacement and keep racking the miles on this fine ride.
If an AMG C-Coupe were available in the US, then not only would this be my next vehicle, I would always keep a towel handy to clean up after salivating over this vehicle.
