w203 lights on ebay

I have a 2003 c240 mercedes and i was wondering if anybody here bought headlights off ebay? The price ranges from $280-$340 with shipping. Did anybody installed them yet and was it easy. I'm debating if i should buy it off ebay, tell me what your opinion is. thanks!

There are two types. One looks like OEM bi-xenons and the other looks like its made to look like the W211 lights. I ordered a pair from Customeuro (their ebay ID). They showed multiple pics of the headlights, and they were the depo Bix look a like style. What i ended up getting was the other style. They still have not responded, so it looks like i am screwed.

Those are what they sent. Those are an example of what not to get.

i think the only way to go is OEM. it is a lot more expensive but heck, it's your car! i went through hell when i got mine for the C230 but i had no regrets. you cant beat the look and performace of an OEM.

i hate the look of the w211 headlamps. IMHO i would take frosted lights over those. Just me 2 cents.

if you want OEM ones you can contact one of the sponsors on here: http://www.mbenznl.com/. i dont know if they still have any left. last i heard they were selling the last few they had in stock(you probably already knew that). as for ebay, i think those guys are pretty reliable. if you pay for it through paypal you should be fine. make sure you have someone who can install it before you buy them.

good luck.

Some people have had problems with the housing warping/melting from the heat of a halogen bulb. They are no good, just go for the real deal.
