Digital control airsuspension in the works...
I'm working with an airsus company who's been around for longer than most of us have been alive. The system is a full airstrut front and rear bag setup. Dampening can be adjusted and it has a digital controller with one touch control to set at a setting that you could actually get aligned if you chose to. I'll be test fitting and evaluating it here within the next month or so and I'll post my findings and my evaluation of the product. When I do the install I'll take pics and explain the process. If any of you are interested just keep an eye on this thread. This type of system will NOT crap out the ride quality of your car and is not your standard run of the mill "airbags".
Here is an example of the airstruts (this is only a universal set, the kit will be preassembled/welded):
Just thought I'd let you know what I was up to. I know a lot of you aren't into VIP like me, but it doesn't hurt to try to help the community. Cheers!

Sounds like all your questions are basically the same..haha.
As far as ride is concerned, it's somewhere between stock and coilovers. But depending on the dampening it can feel different. The ride height can also play a part in this as it deals with pressure and is in lbs/square inch just as coil springs are rated. It is not mushy if that's what you fear and it's also not totally stiff either.
As far as price, I know most of you might know that some companies with similar systems charge over $4k with manual controls..then you pay another $500 or so on a controller. This system should be in the $3k range INCLUDING the digital controller. So it's a great deal for anyone not wanting to fork out nearly five grand on a complete air system built specifically for your car. Remember this is not a universal kit that utilizes your stock struts which you then modify to work. It is complete and high quality from a company with over 50 years in air suspension technology.
It'll be a great deal for anyone who's wanted a quality airsus for their W203. I'll keep you informed as I go through the process from start to finish.

Like I mentioned it is a complete set-up. All air suspension "kits" come with a compressor, and trust me, it'll be good enough for a C-Class if it's good enough for a bigger heavier 300C Chrysler. As far as the 4matic is concerned..is hte suspension lay-out the same as other W203 models? If so it'll work on any of them.

yes the front springs are different on the non 4matic than on the 4matic..... on a non 4matic spring it is the same diameter around from top to bottom on a 4matic the front springs are kinda shaped like a football wider in the middle....... do you know how big the compressor is gonna be though?

Welcome to the thread and to the fact that this has nothing to do with the stock airsus on an E-Class, so it's like comparing a$$holes and elbows. Haha. The stock suspension on those is mushy, but it was meant to be "comforting", not sporty.
I have to ask..why are you so concerned with the compressor size? Here is the specs:
* Voltage: 12 Volt
* Max. Amps: 23 Amps
* Horse Power: 1/4
* Max Working Pressure: 150 PSI
* Max Ambient Temp:158 F
* Min. Ambient Temp: -40 F
* Motor: Permanent Magentic
* Max. Duty Cycle @ 100 PSI: 100% (@72 F)
* Dimension: 12.75' L x 4" W x 7" H
* Net Weight: 9.75 LBS
Is it only the spring shape that is different on them? Or is there much more to it. Do they fit in the same/attach the same? Same componants? These are the things I'm concerned with.

The new strut design releases next month. I'll be running those same struts on my Q, so I'll let you know how the performance is of those until the C-Class kit is all together. Airrunner is usually over 4k and retail is mostly 4.5k for a lot of the kits they put out. I'm an Airrunner dealer and Universal Air as well, I just think the pricing could be better on Airrunner. Universal is okay on price, but they don't really have real "kits", you more just piece things together.

If enough people are interested I could arrange a special MBWorld debut price for members here..potentially saving you hundreds. But that's a bit away for now. I want to see how the new struts are and fill you in on those first so you know what you're getting into. When my Q airstruts come in I'll post up some pics.

Anybody ever follow up with this or get this set up he talked about or any other airbag suspension set up? What's the brand and where can I get this from? Most importantly how's the ride quality? I see the last post was 4 years ago but no need to make a new thread if there's already one about the matter at hand.

Yea I saw that, that's why I mentioned that when I posted my last post
lol sorry man, I got excited when I saw the post too so I was hoping if I asked maybe somebody had actually bought the setup or something similar but apparently not since nobody has spoken up about it...I'm trying to get as much input about kits available as possible so I can make the best choice when going LOOOOWWW.
