SeaCoupe has her mojo back!

I have cut down on the oil into the intake by at least 70%. I'll post the remedy in the origional Oil in the PVC thread. There are still some things to work out, but largely I feel much better, driveability is fantastic. The ported S/C gives the car a bit more boost at the midrange, and an awesome S/C whine.
Plus, check out this milegae on this M111 engine. I got this driving from Manhattan Beach on the 405 out to Anaheim and back. No, it wasn't all freeway driving. I think the ported S/C has given me at LEAST 2 mpg more. I don't know what other M111 engine owners get in mileage but, I couldn't believe I got 33.3 mpg on that drive. I would usually get about 28-29. Occasionaly, I have gotten up to 30.5 or so, but never 33.3.

Good to have the Mojo back. Now to post up some tech stuff and the DIY on the S/C pull.

You've successfully completed a pioneering supercharger upgrade, and have been rewarded with more power and less fuel consumption. That's a worthwhile modification, as so often they're mutually exclusive.
That smug pleasure you must be feeling....

The outside temp sensor has no effect on how the engine runs. There is another sensor inside of the MAF that gives the Intake Air Temperature.

John, much thanks for loaning me the disc. I got blind and cross eyed from reading the small print. Yes, I feel good. Going to have me some Gin and Tonic tonight!

Ooh, that'd be fun, but as long as it's at the track. I think my days going overly fast on side streets are done. I've donated too much money to the government already...LOL.

Seriously, I know that once I noticed how good the gas mileage was, I started taking the drive seriously, never went over 65, no WOT runs, etc. But, this was a down and back run, so it wasn't like I had a tail wind. The inverse is that I have been goofing off and putting in some WOT runs, so that takes your overall avg way down.
I'm going to do a serious attempt tonight when I drop of my pitter to see how high I can get the mileage. After that I suppose I can compare my mpg to my old numbers taken between oil changes and Service Resets.

on the track? we'll talk about this...
