two problems: newly installed c-coupe 05 taillights AND xenon headlights
i was driving with my lights at night. the dial controlling the lights was turned all the way to the right and pulled all the way out (to turn on the lights, foglights, and brighter rear lights). my friend called me up that my left light was much brighter than my right. i stopped on the side of the road and apparently when i pull the dial out from the first to the second knotch to turn on the brighter rear lights... only the left one responds and the right stays the same.
other than that, the lights work fine. i tried trouble shooting by unplugging and plugging the lights back in, but it didn't do anything. i've never experienced this problem before and can't figure out why its happening.
any advice?

***i did have the dealership set xenon to present***
i get the message randomly like once a week and when this happens either the lights are working fine OR one of the lights are actually not lit up. what i usually do is turn it off and back on and sometimes it fixes the error message and sometimes it doesnt.
one potential cause is that i don't have the weather caps on behind the lights because i never got around to dremmeling a hole to let the wires pass through. it seems like there are too many wires and such a headache to do.
any way to fix this error message from occuring?
i know i installed my lights correctly because the car has been working great for 3 months or so with them but these messages just started happening randomly a month ago.

ok for your xenon like when it doens't lit up does it say "Left or Right-Check Lamp!"
if so i tried this myself....
1. completely turn off your light
2. shut off your car
3. pull the key out
4. i think it restart everything so put the key back in and start the car and turn on the light again....
that's how i do my.. it happened only twice. i haven't set my car to xenon present. my step always work when i do it
