Something Stuck Behind Ashtray Cover
Please help. There is a pen or coins stuck behind my C230 2004 ashtray cover and it won't open. Can someone please post any instructions on how to remove the ashtray cover or how to get to it behind the console. thanks.

pop the trim piece starting at the ashtray and coming back to the armrest.
Just pull it up with your hands, it'll pop out, as I said starting at the ashtry.
Remove the ashtray, then use a screwdriver to gently pop the plastic clips on each side that hold the sub-ashtray in place.
That will allow you to remove the whole assembly along with the cover.
Now you see whats behind it.
Replace bulb that it's in there while you're at it, though you won't find it anywhere but the dealer...tiny!
