CL203 Coupe Pano-roof Maintenance - MB lube Grease Part #s, gears, & fixes
I know I shouldnt have to do it but I did and it solved it.
But should I have to do this on this quality of car?
My roof does creak, but I'm such a fan of it overall that I'm willing to put up with it. Also, turn your radio's volume up - works for me!
I have heard some people say - just keeping lubricating the seals. But should I have to do this on this quality of car?
I have to keep putting gasoline in my fuel tank because every few hundred miles the fuel reserve indicator comes up on the MFD. My dealer says there is nothing they can do and just keep telling me to gas it up. I never expected to have to visit a gas station with my new Benz!

Mctwin2kman's post is right on. Minus the sarcasm. Mine was easier and more fun to type though...
All moonroof's from all manufacturers squeak eventually.
I have had my 03 evo pan coupe for almost a year now and boy oh boy do I wish I had never had the panorama sunroof!!
It has been back to the dealer twice. I don't know what they do to it, but it stops the noise for just a few weeks only.

If it continues, I am seriously thinking of getting rid of it!
GRRRRRRRRRRR
I wonder what it would take to repace the fawker with a big CF panel?
hmmmm....
I get your point - it would make it (a lot) lighter. Sounds tempting...
I just want to get rid of the extra weight. Back seat is coming out this week. That is a legal wieght reduction. :P
Edit- My pano actually doesn't make any noise. If I haven't opened it in a while, it;ll pop when the gasket if broken free from the glass, that is it. My hatch makes more noise. I also have the hatch carpet, and cover removed. That and my tools are the biggest noise makers. But the bass from the bose sounds better.

Naw, it is going to be a two seater... I need the bolts from the backseats for the harness tie downs. The last x I slammed my knee into the door and actually broke skin. I want to be strapped in from now on. Anyone wanna help me build a roll bar for cheap?
btw, I want to lower it more now but I'll need to grind the end of the sways down more so they don't hit the lower control arm

Hand held wheel grinders rock.

I hope that you're taking spine compression into account when you're designing whatever Frankenstein harness setup you're going to be doing. You're short enough as is! :p
