Newbie... Need help
Hi All,
I am new to this board. Have been reading your messages for a while, and finally I'm glad to get a chance to post a message. I'll be having a lot of questions, I hope you guys can help me.
I'm looking into getting the C320 (black/black, C2, Leather and CD Changer), and would like to get one pretty soon. I'm in the Southern California Area. Are there any of you from this area? How much above invoice should I be expecting to pay? Can you guys recommend some good dealers/salesmen that I can use?

Check with John Maxwell at MB of Laguna Niguel, tell him Carl sent ya. Sometimes you can get the cars for below invoice, depends on how long it's been sitting there. typically I've seen them advertised on the floor for about $1,500 off. You may be able to work a better deal on a 2002 unless there's a feature you have to have that's only available in 2003 like bi-xenon.

Try Hoehn in Carlsbad-big inventory, good service and sales staff. Will definitely deal on 02's and you can probably get a cut on an 03 if its on the deck and does not have to be ordered. See Nick and tell him the Rogers sent you.

Actually, dealer invoice includes the dealer holdback, which MB gives back either at the end on the month or at the end of the quarter. For the C230K (as well as every option I checked out) the dealer holdback was almost exactly 3.25%. That means that if the dealer sells you a car at invoice, he will make 3.25% on the car when MB returns his holdback.
