fair comments .... LMAO at 5

Point #2 i was trying to get across (and failing) that the rear of the car is quite pronounced in it's styling, it's prominent and aggressive, to then sit it on skinny profile tyres looks some how wrong

The concave look does work sometimes, but on this car, not many times

1. Rims too wide for the car/tyres.... looks crap, period (not to mention the fact you will trash them in about 100 miles !)
2. This is not some Japanese import junk (or mexican) the tyres are too low a profile for the car styling
3. Style of the rims is wrong, you need the deep dish style you had, or the Brabus monoblock VI look or AMG IV, even the Mercedes Hoedus style would probably look better
4. Because they just look/are wrong, the car needs the staggered wheels to LOOK staggered as well (different rim dish depths) - those don't and they look odd because of it
5. Anything that requires that much thought on the spacer selection and fender modification had better be worth it.... and those aren't !
you should tell the first two to the actual owner of those wheels. you'll probably be in the shock of your life if you see his supposed "stance" style. LOL

4) subjectively needs to have a staggered look, the car sits so low, not sure how anyone can enjoy the look of a wheel thats an inch wider in the rear
5) he is crazy for wanting all those spacers.
there are only few concave wheels that actually look good and those aint it for the ccoupe. looks good on the sedan tho.

Hmm not bashing or anything but you guys arent making good arguments of why I shouldn't get these wheels. Nice opinions and all but I personally hate Brabus monoblocks and those AMG wheels you mentioned. I don't plan on stancing them out that extreme so yeah.
I personally like the CLS wheels a whole lot, ive been looking for a set for quite some time now actually haha and I think ill be able to get these AND keep the Works so its a win-win (Call me a wheel ***** if you will ) The main problem im having with the Works is the spacing between the caliper and wheel and will require a spacer to make them fit. . .on top of that to even it out I must space out the rear which is making me think to either make them work or sell them. Not bashing on SD202 either, what ever he does to his ride is his business. . . if he likes it then leave it be (there is alot of controversy in this area so I would like to keep it at that, so stay on topic here).

sell the Works and call TWS and ask about the "RED G" Forged wheels. they're made in Canada and created by Megan Racing. seen it first hand with their test sets. not to mention the retail on them will kill the market.

and yes, I realize the brand name sounds stupid.

+1 .... dunno about the sedan, i wasn't considering them in that guise, but, on the CLS, there is something about the flowing lines that works with those rims

You asked for opinions, and them are always going to be subjective (or biased if you prefer)

Fair enough, those are as much an aquired taste as any selection i guess.

now that i look at them again... i could live with the minor "poking" out... the wheels look great. and if anything, the wider stance looks more aggressive and i bet handles slightly better.

keep them!

Thats why you pull forward more then you have to and let your passenger mirror fold down for parking so you don't curb rash anything. Its pretty easy to keep ur rims perfect if you just put a little effort. But theres other people u have to look 4 haters and bad tire shops.

Just got my car back fresh out of the autobody shop! Repaired what was damaged which includes the bumper, hood, and mattig grille. Got everything repainted/refinished including the brabus front lip and the mattig grille was painted Satin Black. License plate holes were also filled in Refreshing to have a face lift.

Haha i know pretty sad when i was even thinking about getting my girl in one.. But nopeeee ill get myself a second car before i do something stupid hhahaha.

We gotta meet up sometime.

On your front bumper. The plastic grille's around the fog and in the middle. Take about 15 mins with a rag and some Tuttle wax UV protective for plastic/rubber. It will shine that plastic and make it look brand new. I also use it under my front wheel wells

Something like this
http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Wax-T-9.../dp/B00062YBRA

It brings back the true color out of plastic

Ill look what bottle i use

Also thinking about removing my front tint. With the windows down its to cold in the car even with the heater on. With them up im to scared of getting pulled over.

This is the one i use only on that grille and under my front wheel wells

Hey hey! Long time no see Yeah its pretty nice to have a freshly painted front end, it just sucks to see rock chips on the finish I still have the grille so if I get bored i might switch it up although i really LUV the mattig too much :p So whats new on your coupe?

Got out bid on some pedal covers last night, seriously underestimated what they'd sell for lol

It really does set off the car very well, I agree. Of course, you'll have chips on the grille soon enough, too.

So, have you settled on the AMG rims? It's hard to keep up with the soap opera that is your wheel decision.
