I saw it
I saw it today....
I really thought I would be more excited, I have been waiting for a while.
It was nice...well very nice...and it was from Mexico...
I still like mine better....here's a bad pic from the road....
That's a black W204 in the blurry pic
It was @ the golf course by my house...so I am sure I will see it again. Next time I will stop and take some better pics...but my first response..."meh", instead of high 30's low/mid 40's for that one...I will drive my 203 till my little ones are old enough to drive...then buy the best incarnation of a CLS (whatever the number happens to be in about 6 years) and call it a day.

I pretty much felt the same way.. Like oh, new body shape? meh. For some reason I like the 203 a thousand times better than the 204s. Haven't driven in one yet though, that could change my opinion depending on how they are.

Earlier this summer at the Canadian GranPrix, I spotted this at a Mercedes Benz event in front of Casino du Montreal. Nothing to impressive - not even the audience....
Intrestingly, I was asked to step away from the car by a guy in a Mercedes shirt before I could get a good interior shot.

The problem is IMO the W203 is a very pretty car. The design is pleasing, and I think it will wear well over time. It may really be a tough act to follow.
Auto makers are often faced with this dilemma.
Another example: BMW recently brought out its new 3-series (E90). This replaced the old 3-series body style (E46). Engineering-wise the new E90 is superior in all ways. Unfortunately, the E46 is considered better-looking by most people.
I have seen the new W204, and it is nice. I will probably buy one in a year or two. Still, I consider my W203 to be better looking.

and some people do agree that E46 & W203 >>>> E90 & W204, then I feel slightly better.

I understand what you guys are saying, but I changed my mind instantly when I saw the black model roll up on thier website... http://www.mbusa.com/index.do . It takes two seconds or so to come up, but it looks gooooood

Agreed!!! I went to the dealer on friday just to get a good look at the c204. My stomach sank the second I saw the flat front end. I thought I hated the pics I've seen, but in person its much much worse. The salesman who came out to greet me said he's already had many other c203 customes who really disliked the the new body style too.....Shame!!!
