Damn, put my first dent in my new car
Well, it is official, my car is not even 6 months old yet, and I put a dent in it
I was moving some stuff around in my garage and forgot I had moved it, and opened my door into my miter saw :( It dented and scratched the black pillar cover on the drivers door. Here is a pic: http://e85benz.com/images/dent.jpg That pic doesn't show the dent well, but it is in the circled area. It appears like the black pillar cover is replaceable. Anyone confirm that I can just replace that cover and it is back to new? Also any idea of cost, and how hard it is to replace? |
luckilk those are easily replaceable. the dealer should be able to give you a p/n

or you can get these:

atleast you did it yourself and it is relatively easy to fix. Since i bought my car 10 months ago ive had 4 dents which I can only attribute to people getting in/out of their cars next to mine and deciding that its a good idea to use my body panels as a door stopper.

Dont worry it can be easily repair.

Thanks guys, I still feel like an idiot, but at least it was probably the best place to hit. I may spring for the carbon fiber ones, if they are too much green.

When I got my car, one of the pillars was cracked and I had it replaced by the dealer. If I remember correctly, it was like $65 or so.
