K and N check received today!!
I got my $134 check in the mail today!! See the attached scan if it works.
Thanks again for helping me get this!!! They gave me half of the full cost of my repair from Smythe European in San Jose, CA. I'll take it!! I'm giving away my K and N's too, I don't want to take another chance of any problems. I may buy some for my Acura MDX?

I am surprised K and N didn't go after Smythe European and make them pay for my repair. It does seem strange that they would give me money for a problem that they said will not cause a problem. Humm?
I'm not saying that K and N filters are bad, I'm just reporting my story. The K and N's may not have been the cause of the problem. They blamed the problem on the filters so they made me pay for the repair! I probably should have argued the bill with Smythe in the first place. Oh well, at least I got some money back.
