Exclamation

This poll was meant to be AFTER you took delivery of your car then had COMAND installed, not ordered from the factory.

Mark, what price can your contact get it for? I saw someone selling them for under 750 Euro in Germany.

You can get a RGB connector for Euro Commands to hook up a DVD, video or PS without using a TV tuner. This connector costs about 200 euro in Germany (but currently in back order).

How difficult was it to install a Command on a C320? Did it just involve moving out the dashboard or did you had to add wires and things and snake them around under the carpet to the back where the antenna is located?

I'm looking at this tutorial and it looks absolutely impossible. Can't make out what is what:

For the C320, I've heard you don't have to snake any wires to the back of the car....just have to use a new connector (MB part) and either have to split the existing antenna (hopefully!) or get another GPS antenna.

Where have you heard this? Are you saying that you just need to split the antenna cable behind the console?

Steve and several other people have stated that you need another antenna....but I'm assuming you can buy a splitter for the antenna lead. Also assuming that's how COMAND equipped C320's are from the factory. I don't want another antenna in the car.

Can someone confirm ?

I have the same question, regarding the antenna...

I was told that you could use the existing tele aid antenna.. True!!

I ordered the Command unit from Steve and is due to arrive sometime in the next week or so.

Bagwell, did you order one aswell??

got this off this link ..

4.3) C (W203)

The antenna is at the top of the rear windscreen. On US vehicles the aerial wiring is all in place and the connection for COMAND is already behind the radio (along with the diverse FM antenna for command (small coax connector).

Hope it's true!! anyone confirm??
