srs problem

srs problem
so my light turned on and we just brought it in so they could look at it. we were expecting it to be under warranty, but i just got a call saying that it's not covered. supposedly they found juice on the control unit under the rear seat and that it corroded the connection. now i've seen under the rear seat and there isn't any control unit that i can see... it looks like the metal body. am i missing something?
is it under the rug?
has anyone heard of juice doing this in 4 months since we bought it?
i'm just upset because now we have to pay for them to hook up the computer.

i have the same problem...
mine started off because the unit under my seat tht controls the movement of the seats seems to be consuming energy from the battery even whe the car is turned off overnight.
its not a problem, because i heard tht the srs light pops up whenever u tamper with that unit (my technician says that it happens when they remove your seat and the key is still plugged in) and it can be turned off without replacing the unit (tht's wad i hear from my technician... but i never done it b4). all i did was... i made a switch to the power cable leading to the unit so whenever i park my car overnight, i can switch it off so it doesnt drain out the battery.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING!! i've had that srs light on for years and from my experience it is bogus.... because i just had an accident 2 months ago and my airbags came out just like it should!!
