lorinser & lowenhart
I've been roaming this site everyday 4 the last 2 months, but I this will be my first post-bear w/me.....I have a white C240 that I've had 4 2 yrs and I've finally decided to fix it up. I am planning(next week) to put on a Lorinser lip kit-the real one not the E-bay version- and install 18-inch staggered Lowenhart BR-5 w/ Eibach Pro kit springs. My first question, do you think that is a good combo, someone told me that it looked to ricey-I disagree and tell him his civic is ricey- and I've never seen a C Class w/ BR5. Last I got quoted 1500 4 the kit and 3800 for the chrome wheels/w tires, does that sound like a good deal. Any input is great and all you forum members are great I always have a good time reading all your posts

Always remember that you must like your car and feel comfortable with the mods that you decide to go with. There will always be someone who loves it and someone who will not.
PS.
Just make sure the wheels will fit correctly on the car and that you have the car aligned after you lower the suspension.

$1500 for full Lorinser body kit??...sounds too good to be true for real Lorinser. does this include painting and installation?
in terms of the rims, it is up to your personal taste. people would probably wonder why you have a Lorinser kit and not Lorinser wheels...
i use to have Lowenharts with my Brabus kit and got slack from my friends. cause it wasn't Brabus wheels and Lowenharts are made in Japan...comments like that...

The skirts would look good but I would get the Lorinser wheels to go with the kit. Ive seen some on ebay that look like the Lorinser wheels for cheap.
Im not a fan of Lowenhart wheels. I think they look good on a SUV thou. If you do it post some pics! Love to check it out.

The price does not include paint, but I got a guy that has done all by body work on my old eclipse gst spyder perfectly-and he charges about 350-400 for paint and install.
If I knew how to post the BR5 wheels I would post them, they don't look like truck rims. But I am open to suggestions...HRE's?
I'm not a big lorinser and brabus rim fan, that is why I havent thought about putting them on my car.
And actually I've had problems w/replica rims b-4 on my GST Spyder, the damn things would crack at any sized pot hole!!
My roadside emergency would always ask "which rim is it now?"

I can understand if you don't want Brabus or Lorinser...HREs are very good, expensive. You can also look into BBS or OZ.
Another thing you should know, I don't think Lowenharts are hub-centric...mine weren't...good luck!

Blue Ice, I'll ask my buddy and see if he can get you that price too-he owns an auto body shop-just email me w/your info and I'll get you the phone number, but I'm not sure if he is willing to spare 2 kits at cost but it is worth a try and save a few buck for your paint...my email is enri278@hotmail.com

honestly though when I get the kit on the car I'm not planning to put all those Lorinser decals anyway(reminds me of type R stickers on civics/integras) I really just want the kit because first it is cheap and my stock c240 has no side skirts, I was to cheap to get the sport version...I appreciate all the input and If anybody has a suggestion for another kit I'll greatly appreciate it
As far as a tint I would not do it because I would feel dumb paying for the rear window sunshade option and then putting a tint over it. much like when I paid for the stupid motorola phone and couldnt stand using it so I got rid of it, damn know that I think of it I wish I would have got the sport version with NO options-just sunroof and BOSE stereo.

im thinkin those modifications will look great...i was thinkin about getting similar modifications on my c240 but then i have to finish school first....i got pricing on some rims including the lowenharts br-5 and it went up to $5500 and a body kit i wanted went over 2 grand....i think them prices sound great...
ive seen a white c240 here in hawaii with lowenhart br-5 and it looked sweet....i even saw a black one with those rims....
well my friend has a 2001 328i and he has them rims....it looks good....if it looks good on a bmw then it must look good in a benz

I wanted the Lowenhart BS5 Super Crystal, but I couldn't find a place that had the fitment I wanted: 19*8.0 +35 & 19*9.5 +35.

It will probably look like this...
I get slack on benz sites for the wheels (19" Kaotik 3 pc), and they tell me it doesn't match the kit, but everyone still flips on the car in person. I say go for it, besides I find the standard Lorinser, Brabus or Carlsson wheels boring on these cars.
Why spend the money on a LM5 when 40 other people on this board have them.
Just my opinion.

daniel when I saw your car on the "other" forum it made me want to keep my car and mod it up. I was considering trading it in for a Q45 or a GS300. But your car looked so bad *** that I go I gotta represent Cali w/ a white benz that looks as good as yours.
The only gripe about your car is that it is a bit to slammed for me.
Also thanks to whoever replied I greatly appreciate it, blueice check your email. THANKS
