So much quicker in the cold !
today i was driving in cold wet weather (very cold - in the uk) and i managed to keep up with the new civic type-R off a set of lights, now my car felt miles quicker than when its a hot day, is it just in my head or is it true that if its cold the car will go much faster, especially if its supercharged ?

Air density and more importantly intercooler effectiveness is much better in the cold. Also remember the the intake temp is lower to begin with which means the ecu can change the timing further before detonation.
