fuel filter change problem

fuel filter change problem

I've change my fuel filter at 60k on my C240. After installing the new filter, when I start the car, ther are gas coming out the fuel filter on the side pointing inside of the car. (It's leaking at 3 and 4)




Would it be a split/cut on the tube while i cut the OEM hose clamp? My thoughts was if that is the case, can I cut/shorten the tube?

Would it be a bad fuel filter?

Mechanically, lets make sure that the new fuel filter has the same size outlets. Next, make sure the clamps work. If all is good, and you can make the hose reach, go ahead and clip off until you get to good hose.

where did you get the filter? what brand is it? did you replace the clamps or try to reuse the crimp type you removed?
