Who's done a decent cold air intake or any form of intake mod on the M111 engine... I'm looking for a solution but all I can see on this board are experiments...

Technically the pulley and intercooler upgrades are "intake" mods as they increase the amount of air the pulled into the motor.

Buell dynoed his pully-ed car with no air cleaner element whatsoever and only saw something like a 3 hp gain - so there really isn't much to be gained by CAI (especially since the supercharger heats the air quite a bit).

I think with a pulley and intercooler you should be able to squeeze nearly 200 hp out of a 200K.

Cheers, BT

I see, I see... so as long as I get a decent intercooler upgrade a drop in K&N into the stock air box should siffuce right?

My pulley is arriving in a few weeks, my Brabus exhaust is already here hopefully I can squeeze out 200HP at the fly as you said.

I've also gotten rid of my Lorinser D93 17x8 in favour of Brabus Block V 17x8... which is a heck of a lot lighter may I add... every little bit counts. Wish there were underdrive pulleys for the M111 engine... have only seen them for 6 cylinders.

If you are getting a pulley you definitely need to get a better intercooler. The stock one is not adequate for most of the US in the summer, so in Bangkok it is inadequate all the time.
