these werent taken very well... it was 900 degrees out and security forces kept driving past me wondering what i was doing... next time when i have more time ill set it up better.. or at least try...

the angles of the road and the plane made it hard to get a good pic

I only clicked this thread because it said "SR-71" in the title...

amazing how Americans can built an amazing stealth aircraft 42 years ago, yet they still can't build a decent car (not including the ford GT, vette, and viper) that's worthy of respect.

I wish they use them alien technology to built flying cars soon.

It's got nothing to do with ability - as you said yourself, the GT, Vette and Viper are good examples - it's what the American public is willing to purchase. Overall, the public has indicated that it's willing to purchase Tauruses, Luminas and other drone-mobiles. The market dictates what the manufacturers produce - not the other way around...

Welllll..... that was Kelly Johnson. And all that stuff was done with slide rules, not even calculators.

I wish they use them alien technology to built flying cars soon.
Many suspect that Kelly wasn't from around here. Meaning, "Earth".

Nice snaps. There's two '71s close to me, that I've seen. Castle and Beale (one of their bases). They have the drone at Beale, too.

if the public means rental car companies then yes

I think the public today are more willing to purchase Camry, Accord, and Altima and the japanese manufacturer at least spent time engineer the cars. I've see the new malibu or whatever that new family sedan from chevy is called...the quality is not that great as the magazines and press led you to believe compare to the new Camry and Accord.

the freedom to do experiments with the cold war going on. was reading up on fighter planes and interesting on pretty much all modern fighter jets came between 70's and 90's and nothing's really new except the F35

Amazing ride, i was gonna get a 2005 black but it was a little out of my price range so i had to settle for a 2004 pewter. I'm still somewhat fresh outta Lackland so seeing pics of that area brings back some bad memories lol.
