H&R's please help?

Hey guy's I have H&R coilovers fitted to my sedan. I can adjust the front myself but the rear adjuster is way up so I myself can't adjust it. At the risk of sounding lazy I have been driving around for the best part of 12 months with the rear heaps higher than the front. The other day I finally had the local mechanic adjust the settings with the instructions "go as low as you can-still drivable" he gave it back to me with the front sitting awsome, probably just fit my small finger inbetween the tire and guard (or fender as you guys say) The rear too sits just on the wheel arch BUT the car sits approx 1 inch lower at front than rear. It looks stupid....just as it did before but about 10 ml lower.
The mechanic tells me that the rear adjuster is set all the way and cannot get the back of the car any lower but the front still has heaps of travel, however any lower its gonna rub. He said to change rear springs or chop the ones in there. Is this right????? Why would my coilovers be made so the rear sits heaps higher than the front? The natural lines of the merc make the rear look higher so my intentions were for the rear to squat down lower to the front to even the look, if that makes sense but as it sits now it looks stupid. I would have never bought the coilover set up if I knew the lowest the back could go was no where near where I wanted it to.

Have these been fitted wrong? Can anyone else confirm this? I find it odd that the front can be adjusted in 5 mins but the rear takes along time to do.
Can anyone with the same set up post a pic of the rear springs and adjusters so I can check mine?

Thanks guys. Hey also, tonite someone was cut off by a car so they swerved into my lane and i hit them in the rear, didnt even have tome to brake just slammed his car. Mighty tuff the old merc, she held up better then what I expected, pitty about his car though. but atleast no one was hurt.....

you might want to get a second opinion about that, coilovers should give you the ability to adjust the height (within reason). maybe post some pics too:)
