Brabus Wheels (quote)

I got a quote on a set of 18x8.5 Brabus Monoblock V's multipiece all around with pirelli pzero's for 4143.52. Is this a good price to pay? Too expensive? Your inquiry's will be helpful. Thanks.

Fred..

Too expensive... e-mail me and Ill tell you what I got it for. JLee765@aol.com

Actually I just reread your thread and you are getting multipiece rims with Pzero tires so its fair. I find that multipiece looks nice but for LA roads its is not that great. It is more prone to bending due to our not too great roads, esp in downtown LA where I work. Any reason why you want Pzeros? Just curious.

Harris 02-26-2002 12:37 PM

I think the price is fair. Yeah, curious why you put PZeros? I've used 3 sets of PZeros and finally gave up on them, they just ran out too fast. IMO, if you can change, try S-03 or T1-S.
I've got a fair deal on a set of Brabus last week with Peter at wheelexperts.

lee2375 02-26-2002 03:54 PM

Not a bad price. I can do it for 4100 plus shipping, but no CA sales tax (we're in Texas).

BrabusCClass 02-26-2002 08:12 PM

Just a thought but why dont you try Kumhos. That should bring down the price a bit. :D

Handles101 02-27-2002 11:52 AM

Thanks for the info guys. I'll let you know what I decide on.

BRABUS rims

would it be fine i got 19x8'5's all around? would that make sense? i dont want to spend much on rims, but i really want 19's. my original plan was to get 8.5's and 9.5's in the rear. now i figured how much it would be for the rims and tires. would it be okay if i just got the 8.5's for the front and rear? btw, what are the tire sizes for the 19x8.5's? are they 235/35/19? where can i get the cheapest tires from? so far i found nitto 555's from tires.com. the rims i found at the best price i could find at 4,991.80. they are 4 chrome 19x8.5's. do you know where i can find cheaper? lee can you get me a better price?

shtatc 04-15-2002 07:39 PM

just my 2cents...why would you want to get the Brabus wheels chromed? I have seen them chromed and am not a big fan of them. If you talk to the Brabus people, they recommend that you do not chrome them. They will do it for those who want them. I guess it is the look you are getting at. But, I know there are alot of discount places out there...but have you tried Discount Tire? They are a Brabus authorized dealer....may be able to get them cheaper there (with some haggling). But, there may be better connections from guys from this forum. Good luck.

I would rather painted black than chrome them. HOWEVER, I still prefer ordinary look though!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1871845810

please give opinons and no flame since I'm in tight budget.

x15jq 11-05-2002 10:45 PM

I think they look very nice. Im not sure of the quality but they have a lifetime gurantee structually?

Where does it say they weigh 30 lbs?

I was personally considering getting the monoblock V replica's

Right now I have the c7's on my car./

nevide 11-05-2002 11:20 PM

weight

well, I emailed the seller and he weigh the wheel and he said approx. 30 lbs. Dunno if he acctually weigh it but it's pretty reasonable. The only thing I'm affraid of is a crack happening, etc. Other than that, it really look like the real one. Opinions pls.

lhoang 11-05-2002 11:31 PM

actually...

i have bought a set of wheels from this company. i got the mono V's. they were excellent looking wheels. quality is aa good as any other wheel. just remember the you are buying wheels not the brand name. that explains the price. the finish is very shiny, its like a hyper silver or brilliant silver finish. he provides mercedes caps and brabus one. whatever you prefer.
here is a pic. of my car when i had them. they 17", since then i upgraded to 18" not cuz of anything was wrong with wheel, but size was the issue of the change.

TimmyC230boy 11-05-2002 11:33 PM

they look good and for the price there not bad. I like the real AMg split spokes better though. But either will look great.

lhoang 11-06-2002 12:35 AM

first pic

first pic is mono 5 replica, they were 17", my advice get 18" and up

nevide 11-06-2002 12:39 AM

18?

I'm getting 18s. Or should I get 19s. I think 19s would be hard to find. Did you get yours on ebay too or are there any websites I should go to?
