my 02 c230k coupe panic button and tunnel mode does not work
hi all,
i tried on both buttons the panic button and nothing happens! also, i didnt get to try tunnel mode in my old climate unit but got the digital climatronic and tunnel mode does not work (have windows and sunroof open, while driving, hold the recirculate button down to activate right? Thanks for any input as i plan to make appointment with dealer this evening.

TAKE IT TO THE DEALER,,,HAVE IT CHECKED,,SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY HAVE A VERSION CODEING PROBLEM...

yep tried holding for about 4 sec. also went up to door IR sensor, away, close range, nada! u'd think they test that stuff before deliverying!!!

Frank W - tunnel mode is a feature where you press the "recirc" button for 2 seconds. It closes all open windows and sunroof (on sedans). If you press and hold recirc again for 2 seconds (if the ignition hasn't been turned off), the windows and roof (again sedans) return to their original positions. Great feature for "all close" when shutting down...
It's called "tunnel mode" because there are (apparently) many tunnels in Europe. You can use the feature to avoid fumes, etc. when going through them.

Go and have the dealer fix it. I have a 2002 Coupe and in the beginning my sunroof would not move when pressing the re-circulation button. I went to the dealer and they fixed it. Now everything works as advertised.

Sunroof will not open. Also rattles when driving over bumps
and window shade will not operate at all.

Checked actual values not initialized.
Cleared codes
Sunroof blind operates as designed
Lubed sunroof rails
Operated 15 times ok
They fixed my tunnel mode at the same time they fixed my sunroof. Don't know if the codes have anything to do with it....
