Is your next car going to be MB?
I've seen many posts where people are re-considering buying another MB. What do you think? Please Vote!
I'm certain that my next car is going to be MB.

C230 Sports Coupe
I'm not sure. There are so many nice cars out there. I'll probably make my choice when the time comes. I would love a C32, but I drove my cousins GS300 and my uncles GS430 and they are both very nice. BMW 330i also drives nice. We have the H2, and I love driving it, its big but managable.

Don't think so. Not because I'm unhappy w/my car though, its more a cost issue. Depending on the future of the C coupe, design and engine changes I guess I couldn't rule it out, but I think I'll be looking to get into something a little more mature with a smoother more powerful drivetrain. If cost weren't an issue I'd get the CLK500 but that would be quite a stretch and even if it were feasible I don't think I'd let myself spend that much on a car. Right now I'm thinking it will one of the following:
-INFINITY G35 sedan - 6speed (if it ever arrives)
-ACCORD V6 coupe - 6speed - I'm sure its no CLK, but for half the price, nearly as good looks and resale I think its an attractive option and can be loaded for what a coupe starts at, FWD being the one glaring downside along with its inevitable popularity.
-GTI R32 - I think VW will price this car out of the range that people will be willing to pay for it, but AWD and 237 n/a horses will make it very tempting.
-SVT FOCUS - A low cost if somewhat scary option. This car really is all about the drive. Sure, its ugly, probably unreliable and I'm sure resale isn't great, but damn this little thing was a BLAST to drive and its cheap.
OK, so the last two aren't more mature at all. I guess that feeling comes and goes as the bang for buck quotient rises. But the first two are more likely candidates at this point.

Coupe is my 7th car, and I'm gonna stick with MB. All those ESP/BAS "problems" are because of loose connectors.. mostly. Once you fix all those minor problems (warranty), the car is very reliable.
I've owned:
Saturn SL
Nissan Sentra
Pontiac Grand Am
BMW 525i
Mitsubishi Diamante
Mitsubishi Galant
MB Coupe
I don't think that I can switch to a make other then Mercedes... Safety etc is much more important to me. Yes it costs a lot more, but hey, life is much more important to me than $$$.

I try not to buy the same car/brand twice in a row to keep life interesting. I've been wanting the new Mustang with the Lincoln LS chassis for a while and didn't get it because Ford keeps putting off the introduction (was supposed to be 2003, then 2004, no 2005). Next car will be for my wife and she likes SUVs and hates the ML so that won't be an MB either. Although my daughter would love a new Mercedes, at 17 that's not in her cards yet. I would normally give my 12 year old my car when she turns 16 but I don't think it's really built to last so she'll have to get something else.

C320 Sport Wagon
Yes
Have had excellent luck with the three that I have owned. Will look at a CL in the next year or so, but intend to keep current wagon. So far a great ride.

E320 CDI Elegance auto
Hi
Would be great to have a maybe as I have only had an MB for 5 months and have had more issues than I'd like. Give it another 12 months and I will have a better view. I would love one of the new E's if I do get another MB. Somehow even with the issues I cannot see me going back to a Ford.

Audi S4
I voted yes, but I'm open to other options from the other side of the Atlantic (not Pacific!). Audi, Volvo, and Jag all appear to be getting better and I'm sure BMW will eventually "say no to Bangle".

Next car should be a 4 door car instead of a coupe. However i still want a sporty car, so thinking of audi S4, or Bmw 330xi... something awd... and fun... maybe c32... but that's not awd so ehh.....
btw i voted yes.... only cause MB is the best choice for comfort and luxury for the daily driver......

Also, my humble advice is to not be in denial about Mercedes quality shortcomings. Its quite evident by looking at the W203 that the materials quality is not to the standard of the W202 (one of the last build-to-standard, not cost, Benzes) Corner cutting is even more evident if you compare our 203s to a W124 or W123. Its ok though, the car is still solid and extremely safe, and the reliability of the core systems is good.

2005 smart cabrio; 2008 Mercedes-Benz B 200
My next automobile a Mercedes-Benz?
Nope. But not because I don't like 'em.
My next car is going to be a smart, either a cabriolet or a roadster - preferably the latter. Great style and wonderful fuel efficiency.

Considering the fact that my parents bought me this car, and hopefully, I'll be buying my next car myself, I doubt I could afford a MB, so I'm lookin' at a second hand GTI (one of the really old 1.8L 16V ones, the classics), but even if assuming money is not an issue, I probably still wouldn't buy another MB. I'd really want a BMW next, or an Audi. They seem a little sportier, and younger.

Like some have said previously, my next car will likely not be a MB simply due to the fact that I'd like to shop different brands. The next car will only be the third car I've bought, and I'd like to "broaden my horizons." I've had my share of issues with my coupe, but I've found it to be a fairly reliable car on the whole, especially mechanically. I don't think badly of MB and I would definitely pick up an SL55 in an INSTANT if I had the means.

No - unless they start offering a manual tranny in CLK or E in the US. Otherwise, likely M3. I'll take a closer look at the new Volvo S60R (Manual, 300HP, AWD, active suspension) when it comes out.

I just fell in love with my Coupe all over again after getting it back from the body collision garage. I have been driving a Dodge Neon for a month and it's like night and day compared to a Mercedes(of course). My personal opinion is that Mercedes are the most aesthetically pleasing cars inside and out and I have yet to have any build quality problems with the Coupe(owned for 15 months).

well, my current C240 was purchased by my parents, and I will be graduating from university quite soon, so I expect that my next car will be something less "indulgent"
besides, unless I make a ton right off the bat, I probably won't be making enough for an MB-level purchase for the next little while. even if I do, it would probably be of the same class as the c240 right now.
in addition, the many minor, but infuriating, quality problems on my current entry-level car suggests that I should be buying a higher-end MB to reasonably expect those little problems to go away. I may in fact turn to other compact sport sedan marques before returning as an E55 driver

I currently have a 2000 320ML for my wife and 2003 320CLK for me. Even if we haven't had too many problems with the ML, I think when its time to replace the ML we buy the new VW SUV, Touareg. I have had two Audi's and one VW (same company) and in my opinion VW/Audi has the best quality of any car out there, including MB. My wife's car gets a lot of milage as it doubles as her car and the family car, and i think the VW will stand up to that beating better than the MB. BTW, i like German cars, and any other isn't really an option (I'm a bit narrow minded).
