Please share more info 'bout your ic. That is one exciting mod to have!
is it possible to do the same to C180?

Zack
i dont know too much about the brand or anything like that. The kit was put together by Mikessw203 and he did the install for me. I do know, its a great mod if you have a pulley kit on the m271. Not sure about the c180 is that supercharged?

ermm.. Mine is a Kompressor. I do have kleemann headers and K-box. C180K doesnt come with Kleemann's pulley kit, as C180K uses a higher compression ratio than the C200 and C230's do (10.2:1 vs. 9:1), so adding a boost kit will cause detonation on the C180K.. However, will this ic do any significant improvement to C180 without the pulley kit?

You'll loose power if your not tuned.

Hit up Buellwinkle and ask him about his experience upgrading his intercooler. First of all he lost 1psi of boost and 1psi of boost = good power to waste.

Benefit in intercooler is more cooling more boost. Somethimes that's not the case with bigger or even any intercooler that is poorly designed (loss of psi, more heat - heatsoak).

If he did that you I think he'd have to do the rest of the impact strips in cf.

I have been working on this thing for awhile, but i finally installed the front strut bar. This was definitely a pain in the *** and not plug and play. I haven't driven to much with it, but so far so good.

Stiffens up the front end so that there is less flex between the shock towers. You can really feel the difference if you do track driving.

yeah that intake was custom made by someone who used to be on the boards. I don't think he is here anymore. Im thinking of doing another one that uses both scoops in the grill...

did you feel a dramatic difference before and after the pulley?

thats one mod i know is hard to come by, but i'm wondering if its really worth it if i can ever find one... (if LET tuning ever gets around to finishing up their beta testing of their pulley for the m271)

I like your strut bar. I was even thinking about making one just like that. But instead of drilling out holes. I would try and connect it to the strut tower nuts. You think something like that could work?

Probably not because the strut tower moves around when the wheel is turned.

That would defeat the purpose of the strut bar. It needs to be connected to body of the car to prevent flex at the strut towers.
