Blast it – My pass-side speaker cover is cracked (human error)

I was dropping some one off to work today and while she was getting out of the car her knee rammed into the speaker casing and cracked it! My heart sank and if it were not her, I would have had a riot on hand! Anyhow, I have to head back the dealership and get a new one – will post the cost and how its done – D’OH!

Has it happen to any of you at all? Is it easy to self-install – I am guessing yes so...

what a way to start the week

I did the same thing (driver's door). Although I intend to ask the dealer to replace it under warranty. It should not be made of plastic to begin with, especially in such a highly prone area...

Good point – but mine has past the 40000 KM mark, I don’t know if its going to work in my case! I cannot believe its made of such weak plastic, I mean the lady who was sitting on the passenger side, was a mere 140 lbs – Oh dear me! Will report back about the issue

43600 to be correct - its a year old! Its my work horse - Its part of business and I plan to use the car to the max!

I know a few friends who drive their benz's only on weekends and good weather days - I just hate that! People should enjoy their vehicle - why did they buy it in the first place, I ask them!

this is my second MB, the frist one was a CLK and my parents had a E; loved those machines and would not drive anything else!

43,600 km is only 27,032 miles... avro, what is the warranty mileage maximum in Canada?

I bet you don't have any time to worry about any rattles in your car, right?

Don't tell me 27,032 miles in one year is not a lot, Bob.

Well, of course it is. Mine's 20 months old with only 17,000 miles. But I recall a thread a few months ago where this question was posed and some responded with HUGE miles per year counts... Here it is...
