I read a post where the person cleaned their TCU with an electronics friendly aerosol cleaner with complete success.

MAF cleaning on M111
Well I am sorry to hear some of u guys had a 'leak'...I actually know my mechanic and he told me that the problem was that when they made those cars in 2002 they told ppl not to service those trannies but it the made a newer model with a 6 speed and told ppl to have them service. After the long song and dance he added two quarts of tran oil and everything seems to be ok. He also wants to replace my MAF...but he will let me knowabout all that later...hmm I will look for a DIY on replacing the MAF.
The MAF is on the right hand side (driver's side) of the engine bay high up. Follow the black air intake that comes from the intercooler and flows back to a black cylinder. The MAF is identifiable by a 5 pin connector plugged into it.
Taking it off is easy.
I remove the torx bolt by the aircleaner area. This lets you move the whole pipe around a bit.
Remove the 5 pin connector from the MAF.
Remove the torx screws from the black air intake to the MAF.
The MAF will then slide out.
Save the large 0 ring. If it is distorted, replace it.
Take your CRC cleaner and spray it into the MAF. Clean off the silver probe that sticks out.
Let it dry for a bit
Install is the reverse of removal.
