anyone had the dealer install the cd-changer after purchase?

GRRRR it's starting to **** me off a bit now. I used to install complete systems in to cars (about 14years ago) and I'm having problem with a cd-changer install

I actually used 3 sets of instructions as no one of them was equally detailed in all steps. I have additional instructions which someone sent to me as a .pdf but I cannot upload those here.
