My education about the ODB is very small. To my understanding it can be used to clear CEL and read the codes.
Would anyone know if it would also clear the SRS error light?

Answer: No - You would require something like the Snap On scanner. Cheaper to go to the dealer.

You might want to go to an independent who can clear the code. The stealers don't deserve the business. Nor do you deserve the rip off.
I hope you know the cause of the SRS error and it's something that you fixed, like disconnecting an SRS part temporarily. If the cause of the error remains, clearing it won't help you, it will pop right back up.

+1 - the Indys tend to use the Snap On scanner as a cheaper (but still darn expensive) option to the STAR. Many have STARs

my cause is.....
-key was in the ignition and turned to the first position
- i unplugged the seat control module under the passenger seat......
this is a documented cause here on this forum....
i am just trying to look for another option verses going to the stealer..
