disable bulb error thru STAR

disable bulb error thru STAR
I went to Schumacher Mercedes to replace my alternator pulley and have them disable the sidemarker bulb out error thru star diagnose. Well, they fixed the pulley but told me they cant reprogram my error using star.

Im sure they can disable it because the euro spec doesnt have sidemarkers right? I removed my sidemarkers because I have a rieger bumper installed.

Ill try other dealerships but can an independent mechanic disable my error or am i stuck with this forever.

If you manage to figure out how to disable the side marker... Im sure there will be plenty of people who would like to know how to do it also.

I know you can, but last I read about that on MJ's thread - it didnt work for him? :x

If ya got something that works for the w203, hook it up :P

it didn't work because the leads were too short, not because it was the wrong resistor.

what kind of resistors? I mean, how many ohms? what about the heat passing thru the resistor, will an electrical tape do the trick?

5w 25ohm should work, not sure how hot they'll get.
